Growers Growers delivering or contracting grain in any state of Australia may register with the NGR system. There is no charge for this registration service. An NGR registration gives growers a simple method for keeping contact and business details up to date - regardless of where your grain is sold. In all states (except WA) growers can use their NGR card to make grain deliveries.
Registration is simple:
Download a Registration Form or make a Freecall 1800 556 630 and tell the call centre staff the name of registration (termed the partnership)
the state where the majority of commodity is growncontact telephone number CBH number (WA only) whether you have an existing NGR registration hundred (SA only) if you are a grower or trader the name details required on the card (up to 3 lines)or email admin@ngr.com.au with your contact details and a call centre operator will call you to begin your registration process.
Each payee within the registration is asked to provide the following details: name, title, percentage share, address, phone numbers, fax numbers, email, ABN, GST status, Withholding Tax Exemption (if applicable), payment type (cheque/direct credit) and bank details - branch, BSB, account name and account number. You are also requested to provide some security information enabling you to alter your personal details over the phone.
The Principal is the person within a partnership who will be responsible for NGR paperwork relating to that particular business relationship.
The registration form contains terms and conditions which all parties in the arrangement must sign. These terms and conditions:
- enable NGR to make your details and preferences available to those organisations with whom you transact business
- allow NGR to facilitate the linking of your NGR number to another marketer’s number
- clearly identifies that it is your responsibility to provide correct details and to update these details as they change.
Receival of a completed and signed registration form by the NGR call centre completes the process. The call centre then processes the form and sends out the NGR card/s. Your details are then available to any Registered Party who has received or purchased grain from you, or contracted you to do so.
You can update your details at any time by contacting the call centre or using online access (call NGR to get online access). Keeping your NGR records current will ensure that traders and marketers with whom you trader will have access to your correct payment and contact instructions.
Note that the NGR database contains no delivery details or stock information nor does NGR undertake any payments. This is still the responsibility of the organisation purchasing your commodity.
