NGR has activated it’s Business Continuity Plan

I am writing to update you on NGR’s response to the ever-evolving situation throughout the country.

NGR’s ethos is the safeguarding of health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and our communities.  With this in mind, NGR has activated its business continuity plan in response to COVID-19 and our staff are now working remotely in their capacities at NGR to support our customers.

Continuity of Operations

Given the digital-based nature of the service and products we offer at NGR, we are in a unique position during these challenging times to continue operating in a business as usual capacity.

In recent weeks the NGR team worked diligently to confirm the capacity to continue providing quality service to our customers in a company-wide work from home arrangement. We can assure our customers that we have in place measures that ensure the continuity of data security and privacy of your information. Our data centres are hosted offsite with multiple back-up servers in place to ensure data security for our users and maintain confidence in NGRs history of the responsible management of customer data.

Possible impact on customers

Now operating in a fully remote workforce situation, we believe that this should have little to no impact on you, our customers.

But we do want to make you aware, that potential impacts might arise, which could include; as identified by telecommunications companies, slower NBN speeds that may impact myNGR and my eDOCS functionality. There could potentially be longer call back times while our team manage call volumes via alternatives channels of contact with our customers as a result of slower internet speeds and the ability to support our growers through the use of phone declarations may be limited.

Awareness of situation evolution

We will continue to communicate any changes that occur with NGR’s operational arrangements. During these times our care is for the health and safety of our community, if you’re concerned about your own health, we would encourage the ongoing seeking of information from health authorities:

  • Queensland Health advice and information
  • 24/7 National Coronavirus Health Information Line (1800 020 080)
  • 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84)

On behalf of the NGR Team we hope you and your families stay safe and we look forward to speaking with you when you next call the Service Centre.
